Hossam Hassan Set June 5 for Egypt's Game against Burkina Faso

The head of the coaching team of the Egyptian National Team Hossam Hassan decided to set Egypt's game against Burkina Faso on June 5. The game will be part of the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The competitions of the Egyptian Premier League (EPL) will be on hold starting from May 27, and until the end of the Egyptian National team camp for the next round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers between June 3, and 10.

The Pharaohs will face Burkina Faso in the 2026 FIFA World Qualifiers on June 5 as part of the Round 3 competitions.

Regarding the road of the Egyptian team in the qualifiers, Egypt was selected among the teams of Group A.

The rest of the group's teams are Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Djibouti.

In the first round, Egypt thrashed Djibouti 6-0, followed by another victory over Sierra Leone 2-0 in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

9 African teams will qualify for the FIFA World Cup directly after the number of participating teams was extended to 48.

The 9 teams are the topping teams of each group, while the best holders of the second place will have a second chance for qualification.
